Clinical Virology Symposium
WAUKESHA, WI (April 19, 2007) – Prodesse, Inc. announced today that
it will be hosting a panel discussion at the 2007 Clinical Virology Symposium
in Clearwater Beach, Florida. The session, scheduled for 1PM on Monday,
April 30, features panelists from four well-known institutions. The panelists
are Belinda Yen-Lieberman, PhD, Cleveland Clinic, Matt Bankowski, PhD,
Diagnostic Laboratory Services, Inc., Phyllis Della-Latta, PhD, NewYork-Columbia
Presbyterian Medical Center and Steve Cook, Lahey Clinic.
Panelists will discuss their experiences with assays they developed using
Prodesse products to target key respiratory viruses. Topics including assay
performance, patient impact, cost, workflow and reimbursement/CPT coding
will be covered. In addition, panelists who have also been Principal Investigators
of clinical trials for Prodesse’s ProFlu+™ will review their
experience. ProFlu+ is expected to be submitted for FDA 510(k) marketing
clearance in the next few months. A light lunch will be served for those
who have sent an RSVP to CVS@prodesse.com.
Prodesse CEO Tom Shannon commented, “We are happy to have four institutions
of this caliber appearing on our panel. With our clinical trials for ProFlu+
nearly complete, we believe this panel represents an excellent opportunity
for laboratorians to learn about how the use of multiplex PCR can transform
the process of detecting respiratory viruses.” |
