Lane Brostrom, Ph.D. - Dr. Brostrom was most recently Executive Director of TechStar, an economic development organization focused on developing high technology companies in Wisconsin. Lane has served as board member and senior advisor to various early-stage high technology companies providing expertise in the areas of strategy, alliances, corporate development and venture finance. Lane has been active in the venture capital industry since 1997. Lane has a Ph.D. in Physics from Utah State University, an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School and was a Fulbright Scholar at the Max Planck Institute in Munich, Germany.


R. Jeffrey Harris, JD, Chairman - Mr. Harris most recently served as director and Of Counsel to Apogent Technologies Inc., a diversified manufacturer of value added laboratory and life science products for worldwide clinical, research and industrial markets. Prior to becoming a director of Apogent, Mr. Harris served as Vice President-General Counsel and Secretary of Apogent (formerly known as Sybron International Corporation) since 1988. Prior to joining Sybron, Mr. Harris was an associate with the law firm of Baker & Hostetler. Mr. Harris obtained a BS in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University, and a JD from The Ohio State University College of Law.


Ira Marks

Ira Marks – Mr. Marks was elected to Prodesse’s Board of Directors in September, 2007.  He has over 30 years of Diagnostic and Pharmaceutical experience.  He is currently General Manager of a Miltenyi Biotec, a Research Biotech Company.  Mr. Marks’ experience includes six years as a sales rep with two major pharmaceutical companies, sixteen years as a senior executive with Bio-Rad Laboratories and five years as a senior executive in Molecular Diagnostics with Nanogen and Cepheid.  During his tenure, Mr. Marks has managed large and small organizations and has introduced many new FDA cleared diagnostic products to the market place.  He holds B.S and M.S. degrees from City University of New York.


Frank Langley currently is President and CEO of MPP Group, a global pharmaceutical development and marketing company, and co-founder and advisor of Sino-American Biomedical Services. He has over 20 years of healthcare industry experience in the formation, management, and exit of medical device, medical instrument, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical companies. He also serves on the Boards of the Medical College of Wisconsin Research Foundation and GTI Diagnostics, and acts as a business advisor to Generation Growth Capital, Inc. He is past President of the Wisconsin Biotechnology and Medical Device Association. Mr. Langley holds a Bachelor in Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin, a master’s degree in Business from the University of St. Thomas, and has successfully completed an advanced technology executive management program at Stanford University.



Thomas M. Shannon, Chief Executive Officer - Mr. Shannon assumed the position of CEO in May 2002. He has over 25 years of business experience, much of it in senior level positions. In 1996, he founded Shamrock Partners, the lead investment group in Prodesse's initial funding in 2002. From 1997-2001 he acquired and was CEO of three regional transportation companies in Nebraska and Florida, selling his majority interest in 1999. Prior to that, Mr. Shannon held a variety of senior level management positions in sales and general management as a registered principal for Equitable and its subsidiaries, including Alliance Capital and Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. Earlier in his career, Mr. Shannon founded and was President of Shannon Financial Associates, Inc. He holds a BBA from the University of Wisconsin and earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC) credentials.
